Numerous individuals experience self-consciousness concerning their crooked teeth. Unfortunately, although braces are one solution, they frequently only serve to increase this lack of confidence. With Invisalign and Invisalign Teen, the only way anyone will know that you are undergoing teeth straightening is if you choose to tell someone. Otherwise, you will have the confidence to feel and act like yourself no matter who else is in the room.
Understanding Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign treatment uses a series of comfortable and removable aligners that are virtually invisible, and therefore allow you to smile as much as you want during therapy without feeling self-conscious. Over 70 percent of orthodontists in Canada and the United States are certified to offer Invisalign treatment to their patients.
When worn according to the instructions of our specially-trained Castle Rock, Monument and Colorado Springs orthodontists, Invisalign and Invisalign Teen are just as effective as bench conventional braces for essentially all of the most common issues involving teeth-straightening. Invisalign is effective on a variety of problems, such as gaps between teeth, overcrowding, overbite and underbite.
3-D computer imaging technology is used in the manufacturing of Invisalign clear aligners. Additionally, Doctors Kaplan and Watts are two of the Preferred Providers in the state of Colorado who use the most recent equipment, such as the iTero® Element 3D digital scanner. Using the latest technology regarding imaging means a digital impression that this more accurate, and thus a more precise Invisalign treatment.
Why Invisalign Treatment May be Right for You
You may be aware that there is a lengthy list of foods that you are not allowed to eat when wearing conventional braces, such as carrots, raw apples and other healthy snacks. You must also refrain from enjoying special treats such as popcorn at the movies. Fortunately, these restrictions do not apply when you choose Invisalign, as they are designed to make proper oral hygiene easy.
Invisalign aligners also offer significantly more comfort than traditional braces that feature wires and metal. This means that you spend less time in our office for adjustments. Invisalign treatment also gives you the opportunity to see your how your teeth will look at the end of your therapy through our virtual treatment plan technology.
How Invisalign Treatment Works
Each set of Invisalign aligners ore worn for approximately two weeks, and you remove them only to floss, brush, drink and eat. Each aligner is worn for a specific amount of time and then traded in for the next device. This means that your teeth move week by week, little by little, until they have achieved their final positions. You will visit Rangewood Orthodontics approximately every six weeks to make sure that your therapy is progressing at a suitable pace. The average time for the total treatment is anywhere between nine and 15 months, during which anywhere between 18 and 30 aligners are worn, but these numbers will vary from one patient to the next.
